First of all you should dress comfortable! Soft neutral colors that compliment each photograph the best. If you ever need help with color pallets, I have plenty of examples to share with you! I also have a small client closet available and also access to renting beautiful gowns that are versatile and can also be worn for maternity. Ask me about the selections!
The ideal time to do a session with a newborn is.....whenever you feel ready to! That being said, babies are more sleepy when they are 7-10 days old which makes some poses easier. A few weeks old is fine too! However, babies are less likely to be as sleepy!
If Mother Nature decides that she has something else planned for us we can make a judgement call. We can either reschedule if there's a better date or I am always game to go with the flow!
